Synopsis:
A "Big Day" in a small town. A parade, a picnic, a duck race; it was supposed to be a simple outing with friends. Yeah, right! Laura, Marty and Lou should've seen trouble coming like a big yellow school bus with the gas pedal stuck to the floor. It was Pearl, of course - nothing is ever simple with The Pearl.
The main attraction should've been their first clue. Stella James. The Pearl's former student and Hollywood's "Next Big Thing" draws a crowd like ants to a sugar bowl, and the Cotton Creek Festival Parade is no exception. But no one expected the reclusive Barnett Brothers to emerge from the depths of The Hollow, even for Stella James. No one, that is, but The Pearl. Something's up in the little town of Surely, Mississippi, and The Pearl knows more than she's telling.
When Stella's engagement party is crashed by unexpected guests and she and Laura turn up missing, Pearl and her crew are forced to go deep into The Hollow in search of a dangerous man who lives in a Treehouse, keeps company with a twelve-foot alligator and scares the living daylights out of everyone... everyone but The Pearl. According to Pearl, Earl is the only answer.
Unfortunately, he's also part of the question...
